Glodina Champions Local Manufacturing at the Buy Local Summit & Expo

We were proud to participate in the 14th Annual Proudly South African Buy Local Summit & Expo, held on 16–17 March 2026 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. As one of South Africa’s leading towel manufacturers, the event enabled us to celebrate local manufacturing while connecting with businesses, industry leaders and consumers who share our commitment to supporting locally made products.

Hosted by Proudly South African, the summit centred on the theme, “Localisation – A Critical Imperative for the Economy (#LovedHereMadeHere).” The event brought together manufacturers, entrepreneurs, government representatives and consumers to highlight the importance of buying locally produced goods and strengthening South Africa’s economy.
Our participation reflected our commitment to local manufacturing and showcased the quality, innovation and craftsmanship behind our Glodina and Colibri Towelling brands. As a proudly South African manufacturer with more than 75 years of experience, we understand the vital role that local businesses play in creating jobs, driving economic growth and supporting sustainable communities.

The summit also allowed us to engage directly with visitors, industry stakeholders and potential business partners. These interactions gave us the platform to share our story, showcase our premium towel collections and demonstrate why South African-made products continue to deliver exceptional quality and value.

For us, attending the Buy Local Summit & Expo was about more than exhibiting our products.
